The aim of this training course is to give candidates a better understanding of the principles of refrigeration as it applies to the temperature control equipment on the road, from light commercial vehicles to reefer trailers.

Although prior experience is an advantage, this popular training course is also suitable for candidates who are new to the transport refrigeration industry.

The course entails both theory and practical workshop training, covering;
  • Health and Safety
  • The Cold Chain
  • The Fundamentals of Refrigeration
  • Refrigeration Systems
  • System Components
  • Service Operations / Diagnostics
  • Fault Finding
  • Legislation / Environmental Issues
This training course also gives good grounding knowledge before attended a further training courses to gain a F-Gas qualification..

The training course summarises with an ‘in-house’ theory exam.

Whilst this is a stand-alone course in it's own right, it is also forms the first of the set of the three 'principles' training courses;
  • Module One ~ The Principles of Transport Refrigeration
  • Module Two ~ The Principles of Electricity within Transport Refrigeration
  • Module Three ~ Service and Maintenance within Transport Refrigeration
If all of the three training courses are booked at the same time (per candidate) and taken within a 18 month period, the final training course cost will be discounted by 25%.

Bespoke training courses, different from that mentioned above, can be arranged on request.

The fees include a comprehensive training manual, professional training that is second to none, all course materials, an attendance certificate, lunches and refreshments.

There is ample free parking on site
