Inclusive 5 Day F Gas Training

City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations - 5 Day Category I (2079-11)

Inclusive 5 day F-Gas & ODS Regulations Training Course

Attendees for this course travel from all over the UK and parts of Europe, there is a reason that this is our most popular F-Gas training course......

This training course offers much more than just a certificate! Whilst some understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning helps, this training course enables a novice to understand how refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) systems actually work. Too many employers are dismayed by the lack of general knowledge so called 'qualified' engineers have; our aim is to give you much more than a F-Gas Qualification.

You will not find 'training rigs' here. All of our practical training is conducted on real refrigeration units, utilising the tools and equipment you use in your own workplace.

Our 300+ page training manual, included within the course costs, covers much more than the requirements of the F-Gas qualification, providing a resource that is second to none, enabling our candidates to further their knowledge after the training course.

As standard, our inclusive 5 day Category I F-Gas & ODS Regulations training course covers all of the requirements to successfully gain the City & Guilds 2079-11 qualification, plus..
  • The principles behind refrigeration
  • How refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems work
  • Typical operating conditions
  • Refrigerants - past, present and future
  • Refrigerants - associated hazards, both to you and the environment
  • Refrigerants - an introduction to flammable refrigerants
  • Oils and there relationship with refrigerants
  • Common system components, their purpose and how they operate
  • How systems are controlled, including protection devices
  • An introduction to the power of pressure enthalpy diagrams
  • Maintenance for efficient and continual reliable operation

    • Refrigerant recovery
    • An introduction to soldering & brazing
  • and more......
The training course is a mix of both theory and practical training delivered in an informative, 'fun', manner. Active participation is encouraged, learning from each other throughout the week and forming long lasting friendships. Numbers on the course are limited to a maximum of six, ensuring all candidates gain the best possible learning experience. A training course run by engineers for engineers.

For candidates working within the transport refrigeration sector, the additional MAC qualification allows for all vehicle refrigeration systems (vehicle AC) to be worked on.
As with all of our training courses, this F-Gas training course can be tailored to suit the specific requirements of individual company's needs
