TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION
From a new starter in the industry through to the advanced, we offer the courses you need that focus on the transport side of the refrigeration industry. At the centre of these are a set of three five day training courses, known as the 'the principles'.
The three core 'principles' training courses are primarily aimed at technicians in the transport refrigeration industry, and are ideally suited to form part of an apprenticeship or to further the knowledge & experience of technicians already in the work place. In order, these courses cover refrigeration, electrics and finally service & maintenance. Although built as a set, any of them can be taken as an individual training course. Each course has a ‘follow up section’ for the technician to continue his/her learning over the months following the training course, to be conducted in their own work place.
For technicians new to the transport refrigeration industry, we run a short two day introduction training course. This course gives an overview of the industry and runs through the basic principles of refrigeration.
We also run short training courses for managers and office administrators, which again gives an overview of the industry, the basic principles of refrigeration, the types of equipment used and common problems.
In addition, specific courses can be written the suit the exact requirements of individual companies.
Recommended training course structure for technicians new to the transport refrigeration industry, ideally spread over 12 - 18 months in the following order;
2-day Introduction to Transport Refrigeration5-day Principles of Transport Refrigeration5-day F-Gas & ODS Regulations. City & Guilds 2079-115-day Principles of Electricity within Transport Refrigeration5-day Service and Maintenance within Transport Refrigeration1-day Flammable Refrigerants. City & Guilds 6187-21Plus the H&S course for Soldering & Brazing and continual refresher training as required. We also conduct individual 'on-site' engineer audits.
